How is a lab-grown diamond different from moissanite or cubic zirconia?
Lab-grown diamonds are real diamonds, physically, chemically, and optically identical to mined diamonds, and rated 10 on the Mohs hardness scale. Moissanite is a different mineral (silicon carbide) with a higher refractive index that gives it an artificial-looking sparkle. Cubic zirconia is a synthetic material that scratches, clouds, and fades over time. Only a diamond, mined or lab-grown, is a real diamond. Can I get a lab-grown diamond piece repaired or re-plated at the Mumbai store?
